EORTC Partnership
Unmet medical needs in oncology remain particularly acute in the field of rare cancers, which account for approximately 5 to 6 million new cases per year worldwide, representing roughly one quarter of all cancer diagnoses — underscoring the need to strengthen clinical research in these specific areas.
In this context, L’Institut Servier supports the activities of the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC). This contribution aims to strengthen the coordination of clinical trials and research projects designed to optimize therapeutic strategies for groups of patients facing complex clinical situations, with rare cancers or belonging to categories requiring tailored approaches, such as elderly patients, adolescents and young adults.
L’Institut Servier also supports EORTC’s training mission, enabling young researchers to become involved in international-scale clinical research projects.
