Wolf Hervé Fridman, French immunologist and emeritus professor at the Paris-Descartes faculty of medicine. He was head of the clinical immunology unit at Institut Curie from 1987 to 2000, before directing the biological immunology department at the Georges-Pompidou European Hospital. Founder and former director of the Centre de recherche des Cordeliers and of Inserm research unit 255 “Cellular and clinical immunology” at Institut Curie, he was chair to the Cancéropôle Île-de-France from 2014 to 2019. His research work in cancerology has made it possible to further understanding of cancer immunology and of the emergence of immunotherapy. In May 2019, Professor Hervé Fridman received an award from the Association for Cancer Immunotherapy CIMT for a lifetime’s work dedicated to cancer immunotherapy.
